Chaplin

Chaplin Drucker

08/1992 - 10/2008

After battling a year and a half of kidney disease, our dear cat Chaplin went into congestive heart failure and passed away on October 20, 2008.  Chaplin was born in August of 1992 -- Heather adopted him in Atlanta Georgia where she lived at the time.

As a kitten, he liked to chew through any cords that might be loose – phone, lamp, etc. A year later, Heather got him a companion, a black female kitten named Sabine.  They played together and got along well, but Chaplin always saw himself as the top cat in the relationship (and showed her at times by biting her, for no apparent reason).  He was a very special cat, a friendly, sweet creature who made friends with everyone he met -- he wasn't retiring.  He would jump in your lap on the first meeting and "head butt" you.  Randy got to know Chaplin in 1999 and immediately fell in love with him (probably before he fell in love with Heather :)

We were able to bury him in a secluded alcove under a tree, to the right of the front door of our apartment.  Although he is longer with us, we feel happy that he is near by and that we can visit any time.

He really made our life special and he will be dearly missed.  We hope he will rest in peace and only have sweet dreams of his favorite food: chicken
