Quincy
Quincy, a/k/a “Puss Charming” was
“rescued” at five years of age, as a
companion to Princess, a recently widowed
Siamese. Despite his impressive size -- an
amazingly “fluff” 20 pounds, literally twice
the size of Princess -- and movie star good
looks, Quince never displayed typical Alpha
male braggadocio. Although he was not one to
initiate any kind of “touchy-feely” stuff,
he loved being petted and massaged and,
because of his very sweet disposition, he
tolerated sporadic enforced lap sittings and
cuddles.
Quincy navigated his football shaped
body around the apartment at a slow amble,
accelerating to MACH 1 speed when any food
was in the offering.
He doted on Princess, and his only
daily activity, other than eating and
sleeping, was grooming her to perfection.
Our darling Quincy was only ten when
he passed away. But they say God always
takes the brightest stars for himself.
Quincy, wherever you are, Princess and
I miss you very much.
